Bunnahabhain 34 (Eiling Lim) 1980

Sample 8/12 of the May tasting set

Initial Nose: Leather, savoury smoke, honeysuckle, violets, slight wax/oil

Nosing after time: Sour plums, hint of smoke, sweet tea, sweet sticky beef sauce

Palate: Savoury tea, slightly bitter herbs, light sticky beef sauce

Finish: Umami and slightly sweet on the short finish

Definitely a much more savoury sweet Bunnahabhain rather than the fruity ones that I'm use to, might have appreciated a higher ABV as the finish was quite short. Could find any of the typical fruity notes that im used to in Bunnahabhain.
